After a national search launched earlier this year, the ¶¹°ü³ÉÈË°æ Foundation has selected Tony Troxell as its next president. Troxell, who officially stepped into his role on Sept. 16, will be responsible for the overall management of Foundation activities including gift acceptance, distribution of gifts to the university, and investment management.

During the annual State of the University Address on Sept. 14, 2022, ¶¹°ü³ÉÈË°æ President Andy Feinstein, along with several other university leaders, reflected on the accomplishments achieved during the first two-year phase of ¶¹°ü³ÉÈË°æ’s strategic plan Rowing, Not Drifting 2030, while also looking forward to the next chapter.

This year, the ¶¹°ü³ÉÈË°æ’s César Chávez Cultural Center (CCCC) is hosting several different activities to celebrate Latinx Heritage Month and to reflect together what it means to proudly carry this heritage.

After advocacy from ¶¹°ü³ÉÈË°æ students, Chris Bowers, who previously worked in Facilities Management at ¶¹°ü³ÉÈË°æ, was hired as the newly created energy and sustainability manager.

Lyndsey Crum, assistant vice president for ¶¹°ü³ÉÈË°æ’s Alumni Relations, recently received a highly competitive and prestigious Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program award to participate in an International Education Administrators Seminar in Germany.

Michael Nolting, a business major at ¶¹°ü³ÉÈË°æ who just finished his freshman year, is sharing his dream with the world — and it’s no ordinary dream. It’s one that came to him more than four years ago in a deep sleep, involving an apocalyptic alien invasion that he never quite got out of his mind.

The ¶¹°ü³ÉÈË°æ is restoring a former staff position intended to further foster an environment where faculty and staff feel supported personally and professionally to develop an enriching experience for ¶¹°ü³ÉÈË°æ students. This position – an ombudsperson – has not existed at the university for the last two decades-plus, until now, with the recent addition of Johnny Armijo to serve in this role.

The ¶¹°ü³ÉÈË°æ (¶¹°ü³ÉÈË°æ) is pleased to announce the hiring of Jacquie Rich Fredericks, Ed.D., J.D., as the university’s next vice president, general counsel and secretary to the Board of Trustees. Fredericks, who has worked for the Colorado Department of Law (DOL) for the past 11 years, will begin at ¶¹°ü³ÉÈË°æ on Aug. 15.

The ¶¹°ü³ÉÈË°æ Board of Trustees moved through a lengthy agenda for its final meeting of fiscal year (FY) 22 on Friday, June 10, approving next year’s budget and receiving an update on the next phase of the university’s strategic plan, Rowing, Not Drifting 2030.

After two years of canceled or shortened seasons due to the pandemic, the ¶¹°ü³ÉÈË°æ’s Summer Arts Season is back with several productions from the Little Theatre of the Rockiesand the return of the popular series of free outdoor musical performances, Concerts Under the Stars.
