Codification Committee
Keeps the Board Policy Manual and University Regulations accurate, consistent, and properly formatted.
The Codification Committee examines the Board Policy Manual and University Regulations, identifies areas of concern, and develops and recommends changes to those documents. The Committee ensures that proposed changes accepted by the Faculty Senate are formatted appropriately, and may submit its own proposed changes to the Senate for consideration.
The Committee includes three senators appointed by the Senate chair and confirmed by the Senate (who may continue serving after their Senate terms expire), three additional members elected by the faculty at large, and one administration member appointed annually by the President. All members are voting members, except the chair, who votes only to break a tie. The committee elects a chair and vice chair annually, and the chair reports to the Senate on the committee’s activities.
